The Architectural Drafter is proficient in AutoCAD and has prior experience with coordination and assembly of construction documents. The drafter will create production drawings from architect markups, sketches and verbal direction. The drafter is presented with various project types to carry from conceptual design through production of construction drawings.
While there will be supervision of the drafter’s work by the architect at appropriate intervals, the drafter must have fundamental understanding of design, construction and construction documents. The successful team member has initiative and strong desire to learn and develop their individual value to the firm. The drafter will contribute to a positive work environment in an established, respected architecture firm with an outstanding client base.
Required skills of applicants include outstanding communication and teamwork skills, proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch-up and ability to produce artistic colored 3-D renderings.
