Lewis Group Architects is seeking an Architect for employment in our Knoxville office. Our firm focuses on Education and Healthcare project types and works for both private and public clients.
Essential Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to problem solve
Proficiency in Revit is an added plus but not required
General knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, motivated, and the ability to work well as part of a team
Creative with strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
State Licensure and LEED accreditation not required but is a plus
Professional appearance and attitude
Responsibilities include:
Assist with development and production of architectural design and construction documents, which includes AutoCAD drawings and BIM models
Prepare 3D sketches and drawings for internal use as well as client presentations
Perform architectural fieldwork on projects
Attend and document project meetings with external clients as well as internal team
Assist with architectural tasks for projects in construction; review shop drawings, product data, conduct field observations
Coordinate work with engineering disciplines including site/civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing
